Uttara is passionate about redefining the concept of “Strategic Leadership” and de-link it with any position or hierarchy. Uttara’s diverse business and leadership experiences enable her to build leadership capabilities, drive excellence across all levels, inspire people to celebrate their inner potential and constantly explore new boundaries for themselves. The formative years having been shaped in Visva – Bharati University, Santiniketan, in the lap of nature, Uttara has deeply imbibed the essence of Rabindranath Tagore’s philosophy of human values and sense of freedom that has manifested in her professional and personal life. Uttara’s state of being and how she conducts herself, is largely influenced by her childhood experiences of a world that respected autonomy, encouraged the limitless expansion of mind, focused on empowering individuals to connect with their core & celebrated their unique potential and created space for each individual to be themselves with self-respect and dignity. As a result of this, embracing diversity, connecting at a deeper level with individuals and living authentically comes naturally to Uttara.

Her training as a coach from multiple internationally acclaimed coaching organizations (Erickson International Solution Centered Coaching, Coach for Life’s Fulfilment model & Marshal Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching) coupled with long international business and leadership experience enables her to play around with different coaching methodologies and tools and provide customized solutions to diverse client groups across industries.

Uttara comes with strong strategic business experience of over 23 years in various senior leadership positions at national and international levels with leading companies in Life Sciences and Healthcare industries like Eli Lilly, Bristol Myers Squibb, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, etc. She has worked extensively in setting up and leading several functions and global strategies for leading pharmaceutical companies in international markets [the Asia Pacific, Emerging Markets, Latin America, EMEA regions], driving business strategies, building and leading high performing teams, enhancing team efficiency and delivering excellence, through people from diverse culture, capability, and mindsets across the globe.
